How Upfront, Predictable Payments Can Improve Primary Care Decades of evidence shows that primary care is associated with improved health, greater patient satisfaction, and reduced health inequities, and it is strongest when teams of providers coordinate care to address patients' needs. Always feeling tired? Could be because of a weak immune system - Times Now

New Delhi: In the last two years since COVID-19, our lives have been greatly affected both physically and mentally. While many who contracted the disease saw a significant low down in their immunity, the rest of us pulled up our socks and worked towards boosting it.

Here are some common indicators our body gives to show that there is something wrong with our immunity that needs immediate attention:

  1. Always feeling tired: Tiredness and fatigue are a part of adult life. We do feel tired after a ton of chores that take our entire day. But that is different from the tiredness you feel when you wake up or get back from a break or holiday. This constant feeling of sluggishness is a sign of low immunity. Persistent low energy levels need a thorough check-up from doctors.
  2. Stress and anxiety: It is okay to feel stressed sometimes because of a situation. But if it becomes a recurrent happening with high-level stress and anxiety all the time, it is a clear indication of something wrong with the immunity. When you are stressed, it affects the body's lymphocytes which shield the body from infections. So, if the lymphocytes level down considerably because of high stress, it makes you vulnerable to a weakened immune system.
  3. Frequent cold and cough: Whenever the season changes, we are likely to fall sick with cold, cough, and fever. A strong immune system prevents it by fighting the infections, but if your immunity is weak and the recovery span is more than 10-12 days, the immune system is not working properly.
  4. Delayed healing of wounds: Our body takes time to heal from cuts, wounds, and burns and the amount of time taken indicates the health of the immune system. So, if the healing gets delayed and the skin is not able to regenerate fast enough, the immunity in the body is not working properly.
  5. Perennial diarrhoea: Tummy troubles are also a sign of a weakened immune system. The digestive tract showcases gut health and plays a key role in maintaining the body's immunity. And if you are suffering from often occurring diarrhoea or stomach upset, it is only a sign of unhealthy bacteria in the gut and a struggling immune system.
