ILLINOIS (WCIA) — When it comes to people getting vaccinated to avoid getting sick, the Land of Lincoln is not exactly at the top of the list.

One poll said Illinois has a 55% rate of child vaccinations. That ranks as the 18th lowest rate in the nation.

The decline in flu shots and vaccinations is thought to be caused by the pandemic. 8% of people in the state are uninsured.
