Kaiser Permanente is spending $25 million to build the first two phases of a medical office complex at the corner of Harbor and MacArthur boulevards in Costa Mesa. The building is set to span 48,000 square feet and mark Kaiser's 15th primary care site in Orange County. The health plan, a unit of Oakland-based Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, is OC's largest with more than 300,000 local members. The first patients at the Costa Mesa facility are expected in September or October. Demographics are the key driver for the new complex, said Judy White, a Kaiser medical group administrator. "We're growing very rapidly," said Kaiser Spokeswoman Judy White. "This will serve our members in Costa Mesa, Santa Ana, Huntington Beach and Westminster."
