Infant Dies Due To 'wrong Injection'

DIJKOT:

An 11-month-old child died due to the administration of a wrong injection. The heirs of the deceased protested and demanded action against the doctor. The police took possession of the body and registered a case against the doctor.

According to the police report, Nasir Abbas, a resident of Chak 623 GB, filed a case with the police stating that his eleven-month-old son Ali Haider was brought to Dr. Zafar, son of Younis due to his poor health.

His son Ali Haider was given an injection by the hospital, which worsened his condition. They brought him to Ayesha Aamir Hospital, where his son died.

Allegedly, Dr. Zafar, showing negligence, gave his son the wrong injection and caused his death. The police registered a case under 322 TPP and started searching for the doctor.

Meanwhile, an attempt to steal a goat resulted in the murder of a shepherd who resisted the robbers.

Police took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem, initiating a search for the suspects.

Police said 50-year-old Rafeeq Sharif, a resident of Chak 216 RB, was grazing goats near Ashfaq Mill on Jaranwala Road when two armed robbers on a motorcycle tried to snatch a goat.

When Sharif resisted, the robbers shot him in the right side.

Rescue 1122 provided medical aid and shifted him to Allied Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries due to excessive bleeding.
