UPDATE: Marion County Health Dept. offering vaccines this weekend in light of Hep-A scare - WCJB

OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) - UPDATE:

An increase in Hepatitis A cases in Marion County has health department officials offering vaccines this weekend -- a time when their offices are usually closed.

This is after an employee of Charlie Horse Restaurant and Lounge in Ocala was infectious.

The Marion County Health Department will be open this Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon administering vaccines.

Health officials will also be at the Horizon Academy in Ocala from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Since January, Marion County has seen 111 cases of Hep-A, making it 6th overall in the state.

However, a spokesperson for the county's health department says so far none have been a result of a sick food worker.
