Connecticut confirms measles case in adult, but high vaccination rate serves as shield for children - Hartfo - Hartford Courant

For the 2017-18 school year, 98.2 percent of kindergartners and seventh-graders were vaccinated against measles, rubella, mumps, pertussis, tetanus, and chickenpox, public health records show. That means 1.8 percent of the 83,508 students had a religious or medical exemption, the only two waivers available in Connecticut.
